In light of the rehashing of #parmgate, I want to talk about another oppo traditions: GTFAC. Who remembers where it came from? Well for those of you who don’t here’s what happened:
Our resident angry Italian was unhappy about that day’s COTD and expressed his frustrations. Then in reply to Irishzombieman telling him to turn his computer off, he replied with this gem:
Roberto G. used to frequent oppo and I’m told he’s still on the FP.

I use GTFAC in everyday conversation. Nobody understands it

I think Scoob put it on Urban Dictionary as well.

That he did.

I miss that angry, angry man. Another highlight was when he described the (broken) Kinja loading bar as “the color of a rotten dead”.

I have definitely used it on redit, it really shuts down an argument.

That’s gold. His antics were great, most of the time.

He’ll be here all day folks.

No GTFAC post is complete with this:

As if this day couldn’t get any worse.

Fixed.

Anytime you have an ESL Italian rabid Chevy fan with anger problems and almost impossibly bad luck with technology, popcorn times are ahead.

Next week on “Vintage Oppo-isms” we reveal the stunning back story of the SR20 Rule, which actually has nothing to do with Nissan.

Since you asked for it, look for it sometime next week.

Sweet. Time for some young-uns to learn them some history.

I thought about including it in this one, but it deserves it’s own post.

The GIF is pretty amazing.

So that’s the history behind it. I was aware of what it meant, but now how it came to be.

Holy crap, I just now realized that’s a Roberto-ism.
What a strange, strange man.
